Geography comments: "on the north side of a small tributary canyon to the Rio Grande River about 2 mi north of the mouth of the Pecos River, 18 mi (28 km) west of Comstock"
there are three radiocarbon dates: "12, 280 +/- 170 on charcoal from units I and II... 13, 920 +/- 210 on one piece of wood from Unit 1C... 14, 300 +/- 220 on one piece of wood" at the same level (presumed to be uncalibrated because errors are symmetrically distributed)

Environment
Lithology: limestone

Taphonomic context: bird accumulation, carnivore accumulation, cave

Habitat comments: "Layer I... was completely devoid of artefacts and bone. Layers II through IV were also composed of limestone dust... Much of the bone is burned... The agent or agents responsible for bringing bones into the cave cannot be identified certainly. The bones of small animals, such as rodents, probably were brought in by owls" and some large mammals are articulated and "show features indicating carnivore damage"; there is a single "cut mark" on a horse femur
