the fossils are "embedded by or maintaining traces of a whitish-yellowish sand with carbonate matrix" interpreted as a paleosol
the material ranges "from poorly preserved isolated specimens (very abraded and broken bones) to well-preserved ones, sometimes still in anatomical connection"
